Benromach Classic 55

A truly exceptional, and exceedingly rare, Speyside Single Malt - rich and mellow, with a hint of smoke. Well balanced with poise and presence.

Colour: Bright Orange Gold

Undiluted
Nose: Sweet with rich fruit aromas - orange peel and red apple skins. A delicate perfumed note and spices - cinnamon stick. A subtle smoky edge with traces of menthol and hessian.

Palate: Coating with an oily texture, oak and peat smoke flavours combine. Sweet elements and some herbal flavours - a hint of spearmint.

With Water
Nose: Sweet, chocolate aromas laced with concentrated fruit notes (strawberry jam). Hints of nutmeg and cinnamon add to the balance.

Palate: Smoky notes initially with resinous oak flavours.

Rich fruit notes emerge with a rounding dark chocolate edge.

Body: Mellow and Rich.

Finish: Slightly sweet with traces of fruit and smoke.

Cask Type: Refill Bourbon Barrel
